And the next time someone asks you how the Indian car passenger industry has changed over the past two decades, just point them towards this simple statistic: Maruti took a little more than 10 years to sell its first million cars. And in the next 10 years, it sold 3 million. It sold its final million (of the 5) in just the last 2 years.
