The 'Sitara' is Pakistan's first truly indigenous motor car (I use the term loosely) and the Habib Group, the promoters of the project, are hoping that it will be the star of their fortunes. Inspite of being designed with the sole objective of being an affordable car (it's priced at about 1,26,500 Pakistan rupees), it comes with a few added frills - seatbelts and soft padding all over! And the clincher has to be the fuel efficiency promise of 25 kilometers to the litre.
Do NOT miss the 'Click for Roof Option' link on the homepage. =)
