I've always dug the way the US state Departments of Motor Vehicles allow car owners to get personalised licence plates. A far cry from the stodgy old system that's followed closer home. The best that you can do is choose a number or a combination of numbers, or for the more numerologically inclined, get a set of numbers that when added up, result in a number that your family astrologer (or is it numerologist?) says will prevent a north-flying woodpigeon from taking a sh!t 2 inches above and to the left of your right eyebrow on the third Friday of every month that has an 'm' in its name. And most of the times, all of this comes at a hefty price.
Well, there is always the Internet. So for those of you who think you've always wanted to add that personal touch to your licence plate, knock yourselves out.
