September was rather sweet for Maruti Udyog as they clocked a 27% leap in sales this year as compared to the same period last year. Thanks are mainly due to a spurt in the number of new Esteems sold, a rise of a cool 137%!
Also, new launches during the last 5 month have contributed to 50% of MUL's growth during the period.
Now you know: A launch in the B (compact) segment is likely to contribute more significantly to volume growth than a launch in any other segment.
