After coming out on top in the JD Power Sales Satisfaction Study earlier this year, Maruti has blown away the competition again in the 2004 India Customer Satisfaction Index. Grabbing the honours for the fifth year in a row, Maruti is the only company to post a score higher than the industry average.
The official report is here.
Guess who's bringing up rear guard action this time. :-(
Dear Sir,
This is with reference to purchase of Fiat Palio Adventure (Saloon) vide
Chasis No.MAH1782150808034730
Engine No.00554649
Registration No.UP32AZ5150
Date of Purchase.30/01/2004.
The purpose of this complaint is that we have been trying to get the duplicate keys for the above mentioned vehicle from past one year but have been unable to get a fruitful response from the dealer. At the time of purchase of this car there was only one key which was provided to us and ever since we have been pestering the dealer for the above mentioned. I am very sorry to state this that an esteemed organisation like Fiat / Dealer is not helping us. We have tried our level best to remind them for the duplicate keys but they have excuses to give to the customer.
In this changing environment where the companies have there entire focus on customer and customer satisfaction we have been treated so badly and company has no information about this. As we have spent lacs for the vehicle we feel sorry for the investment made by buying this vehicle and above all there is none to take corrective action. The concerned personnel should realise that the customer should be his first priority and it is their duty to provide with all the basic necessities when this vehicle was delivered.
It is understandable that big companies that offer a wide variety of products and services would occasionally come across a such a complaint. But we are sure that our complaint would be taken care of seriously.
Now the dealer also does not give us satisfactory response and he is not even ready to listen.Unfortunately, we are disappointed because services were inadequate.
We hope you resolve the problems we encountered.
I look forward to your reply and a resolution to our problem, and will wait for some time before seeking help from a consumer protection agency or the Better Business Bureau. Please contact us at the address or by phone given below.
Thanking you,
Sincerely,

Hi Mr. Nagpal,
Thank you for your comment. I'm really sorry to hear about all the trouble you've been experiencing with your new car. Unfortunately, I have no official association whatsoever with either MUL or any of the other manufacturers mentioned on this weblog. This weblog, for the time being atleast, is purely personal in nature.
You could, however, try going to http://zen.marutiudyog.com and use the 'Contact Us' form to register your complaint. Alternatively, you could call them toll free at 1600111515 or at 98118 01515.
Here's hoping you're able to get your complaints listened to and have something done about.

The Maruti might have ranked on Top in your survey but I am feeling guilty of buying a New Maruti Zen in June-2004. The Engine is nosiy , Cabin sound is unbearable and rusting has started in the Sheet Metal parts. Kindly register my Complaint and do something if you can.
