Will Suzuki make a Swift move?

Suzuki could well be launching the Swift in India sometime next year, in an attempt to fill in the relatively uncrowded space between compact and mid-sized cars. That space is currently owned only by the Getz, with the Fusion promising to heat things up also sometime early 2005.

This is the Swift.

Update: About as big as an Indica or Palio, but wider, this mature hatchback makes brilliant sense for filling up the gap in Maruti Suzuki's portfolio.
