Fiat India will try and pick itself up from the ashes, so to speak, over the next year or so with a corporate restructuring exercise, new launches and a strengthening of the dealer and service network as part of the comeback plan.

Either Fiat India Ltd. does not have automobiles that meets the eye of the beholder (prospective buyer) or it is not much interested in doing business in India. This fact is apparent from the poor dealer network and after sales service network it has in the country and the poor Advertising & Marketing of its cars in India. It is making no effort whatsoever in competing with others in the category, like Indica, Indigo, Accent etc. Many have criticised the interior decoration of the Palio due to poor upholstry, dash board etc. but still no improvement can be seen.
What is the reason?
